My story
Our farm is located in Corces, where our apples of the Natyra variety, our pears of the Williams and Palabirne varieties, and the chestnuts grow in the chestnut grove. The apples of the Pinova and Gala varieties, on the other hand, grow at an altitude of almost 1,000 m in the upper Val Venosta Valley. The idyll in this high-altitude growing area is fascinating. The glaciers above the valley floor almost reach the four-thousand-metre mark and wide orchard landscapes and fruit crops stretch out on the valley floor. A light breeze breathes on the trees every day and the "Tschuggwaal" of Schleis carefully supplies the orchards with water before it slowly flows into the Punibach of the "Malser Haide". There is no waterlogging here, because the light Föhn wind dries the soils quickly without cooling them down. The fruit that grows here repays the benevolent nature and us with the highest quality. Organic farming supports nature in its diversity and stands for successful and sustainable agriculture without risks for humans and nature.
The protection of bees is also very important to us; hedges and flowering strips in the orchards provide the bees with diverse food and sufficient retreat and nesting opportunities.
Especially during the harvest, when the whole family helps, I realise that organic soil is the fertile humus for all our products and ideas.
