My story
Markus Puintner owns Brunnental farm in the marble-production village of Lasa. The family business goes back to his great-grandfather's day and he runs it now with his relatives and brother. Markus is a farmer by inclination and a metalworker by training. In addition to working his own land he also leases a few orchards, he teaches at the Silandro technical college for metalwork and also rents out two all-year-round holiday apartments on his family-friendly organic farm. Markus converted the Brunnental farm to organics over a decade ago. He keeps up-to-date by attending specialist courses. He now thinks that organics are the only viable way of living and working with nature. "My apples make me so proud," says Markus, "because they are pure products of nature. The ingredients are Val Venosta mountain water, high-altitude sun and cool night air."
