My story
The Moaracker farm is situated in the municipality of Castelbello/Ciardes at the sunny side of Val Venosta. My family has farmed the five hectares of our farm organically since 2007 and in 2015, the „Moaracker“ farm became a Demeter farm based on biodynamic cultivation. My father Andreas Zuegg says: “Agricultural businesses and the food they produce are shaped by the people who live on and off the farm, by their individuality and their sense of responsibility.”
We have the honor and luck that we can develop and fulfil ourselves with the farm. We grow Gala, Topaz, Kanzi, Bonita, Natyra, Pinova, Red Delicious, Braeburn and Golden Delicious apples as well as pears by sticking to the strict Demeter guidelines.
Soil fertility and circular economy are central themes of our work: The use of nature-friendly products such as horn manure, horn silica or compost preparations help us. We improve soil fertility with the help of specific sowings and strengthen the resistance of the apple trees with homemade homeopathic remedies. Because only food that solely consists of natural ingredients can completely feed people and revitalize both the body and spirit.

Pinova
The Val Venosta resistant
The Pinova with its red vermilion-red skin is a typical apple of Val Venosta. Not only is it colourful, it also has a very balanced flavour. Thanks to its long durability, it offers you unlimited fruit enjoyment until the summer season.

Bicolour, yellow to greenish, at least 30% of the fruit is covered with a bright vermilion colour

Nicoter / Kanzi®
Balanced freshness

Topaz
The beautiful acid
Topaz makes biting the sour apple worthy! The aromatic fruit impresses with a pleasant acidity and is also a common variety in organic farming.

Braeburn
The juicy all-terrain
For a small snack between meals or used in many ways in the kitchen and bakery: The Braeburn is a true all-terrain. Be patient with it, as it develops its full aroma only after several storage months.

Pears are fruits with ancient origins. The Greek poet Homer described them as a sweet gift from God. In the sunny climate of Val Venosta, these fruits develop an enveloping sweetness and an aromatic heart. The pear is considered a versatile and vitamin-rich fruit, as well as easily digestible, to be enjoyed at any time of day.
