Association of Val Venosta producers of fruit and vegetables
VIP - this is the association of fruit and vegetable producers from the Vinschgau Valley. Our roots as a producer organization go back to the year 1990. Since then we have been working successfully together as an agricultural cooperative and non-profit organization. "Cooperative before profit" is our motto, and we attach great importance to first-class service, quality and sustainability.
850 employees
take care of the member farmers, customers and different areas.
1,500 producers
allow good things to flourish, of which 1,220 are IP-compliant and 280 are organic.
5,500 ha of land
are cultivated by farmers, about 30% of the area without herbicides.
320,000 t apples
are harvested on average per year. All individually and by hand.
Our Network
A network is strong when it holds together, and this is true for our 1,500 members. The farmers from a total of seven cooperatives form a tightly-knit unit. VIP provides them with comprehensive support in sales, administration, marketing, quality, controlling, and IT. After all, every network needs a "hub" to operate efficiently and smoothly.
Our Mission
Everyone should benefit from VIP: our members, whom we support in every way. The end consumers who can rely on our products. And also nature, whom we have always treated carefully and consciously. As a sustainable fruit growing region in Europe, we want to offer the best quality and healthiest apples and be considered the most competent service partner in the market vis-à-vis the trade. These points are consolidated in our company policy.
