The sandwiches with fresh Gala apples, bacon and Fontina cheese are perfect for a quick lunch or a hearty and tasty snack. A simple and irresistible recipe thanks to the combination of the sweetness of the apple and the smoky taste of the bacon.

Ingredients

for 4 sandwiches

8 slices of toast bread
50 g butter
2 Gala apples
150 g bacon
150 g Fontina cheese in slices
2 tablespoons mustard
1 teaspoon honey
Black pepper
Olive oil

Preparation

Cut the apples into fine slices. Fry the bacon in a frying pan until crispy, then place on a plate and set aside.
In a bowl, mix the mustard, honey, pepper and a dash of olive oil into a sauce.
Spread the slices of toast with the honey-mustard sauce, then place the Fontina cheese, crispy bacon and apple slices on the toast. Spread a second slice of toast with butter to close the sandwich.
Then fry the sandwich in a coated pan for 2 minutes on each side and serve warm.
