Savory granola
with Red Delicious apple

This savory granola is easy to prepare and a very versatile mix in the kitchen. It’s an ideal crunchy topping for fruit and yoghurt bowls, salads or soups but it also tastes delicious with cheese and honey or as a snack at work or in the afternoon.

Ingredients

1+1/4 cup oats
1 apple Red Delicious (peeled and diced)
1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp flax seeds
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp pumkin seeds
1 tbsp sunflower seeds
1 tsp dried rosemary
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp powdered turmeric
1/2 tsp powdered paprika
1/2 tsp salt
1 garlic glove

Preparation

In a bowl, mix oats with flax + sesame + sunflower seeds, rosemary, oregano, salt and powdered spices.
Put the apple dices in a bowl with the oil and blend until creamy. Mix the apple sauce with the dried ingredients.
Put the batter into a lined baking pan, add the garlic glove and bake at 160°C for about 1 hour or until golden-brown and crispy (stirring with a tablespoon every 20 minutes). Once the granola is ready, remove the garlic, add the pumpkin seeds and let it cool.
Store in a jar up to 10 days.
